Virginia Woolf said, “a woman must have money and a room of her own if she is to write fiction.” I felt this way when I used to write. I guess painting is same. This week I almost skipped the weekly challenge because we had a lot family events. This doesn’t mean I don’t have any time or physical space to tangle, but I was mentally just out of condition. This is interesting: Zentangle should help people calm down when they feel anxiety. However, when I feel anxiety, it’s difficult to create something, even just doodle. This truth let me rethink what effect Zentangle actually gives me.
Am I willing to pursue being creative or just be relaxed when I tangle? I am not sure.
Whatever, I finished this weekly challenge before the sunrise of the last day.
This weekly challenge is called “AFRICAN ARTIST”, which was created by CZT Tina-Akua Hunziker. Tina named this pattern that way because an African material inspired her. This is a new pattern to me and I have no idea if I really drew it the right way because the result seems so different from Tina’s original module.
